Omar Al-Busaidy is a Fulbright Scholar pursuing his Master’s in International Affairs at Florida State University. Omar is a best-selling author in his home country, the United Arab Emirates, and an entrepreneur and a member of the US-UAE Public Affairs Committee.
He has published a self-help book, Just Read It, and his upcoming futurism book, Why Jobs are Robots and Life is for People, is all about investing in technology startups. Omar has extensive experience in Commercial Diplomacy, having worked at the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi as a Senior Commercial Attaché, International Relations Executive at Dubai Chamber of Commerce, and Investor Relations at the Department of Abu Dhabi Tourism.
He also played a key role in establishing the first English radio channel in Sharjah, Pulse 95, where he presented and produced a talk show, Future Talk, focused on futurism and its impact on all sectors of the economy. Omar has been invited to mentor students on entrepreneurship and leadership at several universities and conferences across the UAE and worldwide.
